You Asked, We Answered: the Origin Story of Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser
When our community requested a liquid cleanser, we answered the call by starting with a poll to see what benefits our customers look for most. We found that the perfect Herbivore cleanser would be hydrating, gentle, non-stripping, makeup-removing, and low-foaming.
After two years of making countless revisions to our formula, we are proud to finally offer our new Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser!
Sticking to the specific needs of our customers, we focused on using effective ingredients that cleanse, hydrate, and remove non-waterproof makeup while also maintaining the all-natural integrity that Herbivore is known for. Like all of our formulas, Pink Cloud Cleanser contains no synthetic ingredients, dyes, fragrances, or fillers. It is a concentrated blend that uses the minimum amount of ingredients necessary to achieve the maximum results.
Pink Cloud Cleanser’s jelly texture comes from Tremella Mushroom, our new favorite ingredient. Also known as “Snow Mushroom,” Tremella is a powerful humectant that holds up to 500 x its weight in water. It is clinically proven to work more effectively than Hyaluronic Acid to plump and intensely hydrate the skin.
The ingredient that gives Pink Cloud Cleanser its creamy texture is Squalane. This ultralight oil effectively lifts non-waterproof makeup and gives the skin a dose of moisture. Because Squalane is very similar to our natural sebum, it helps to maintain skin elasticity and gives the skin a youthful, dewy glow. Squalane prevents the skin from feeling uncomfortably stripped of moisture after cleansing.
We added Organic Rosewater to help soothe irritation and add hydration. As bonuses, Rosewater works to reduce the appearance of redness on the skin, and gives Pink Cloud Cleanser it’s light, signature Herbivore scent.
Coconut Water is an ultra-soothing ingredient that gives our Pink Cloud Cleanser formula additional hydration, helping to leave skin clean, not dry or parched.
Natural surfactant Decyl Glucoside gently cleanses the skin with minimal foam without drying the skin or giving it a “tight” feeling.
